IWNSASP-2010, University of Science, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, September 15th-17th, 2010 The First International Workshop on Nonlinear Systems & Advanced Signal Processing provides a forum for bringing the various research groups working in the area of Nonlinear Systems and Advanced Signal Processing on a single platform for exchanging views and reporting research findings. Study of nonlinear systems has emerged internationally as a major area of interdisciplinary research over the last two decades, especially when advanced signal processing techniques are applied and made possible by significant improvement in computing resources by ultra-high speed processors. As a result, international conferences/symposia are regularly held to address the significance, progresses and applications in science and technology. This international workshop thus aims to call for interests from international researchers to report new experiments and theoretical developments, to examine hypotheses to explain physical phenomena, and to discuss on the applications to practical problems. The workshop is organized with two days of technical presentation and one day of eco-tour to the mangrove forest, about 60 km southeast of the workshop venue to serve as an platform for networking while enjoying the natural environment of Vietnam. Technical areas covered by the workshop but not limited to: • Bifurcation Theory • Solitons and bound solitons • Classical Deterministic Chaos • Nonlinear Phenomena in Engineering Sciences • Hamiltonian and Quantum Chaos • Nonlinear Optics • Nonlinear effects in optical fiber transmission systems • Control of Chaos and Synchronization • Chaotic communications • Fractal, Order, and Time-Series Analysis • Turbulence • Time Series Analysis, and other Mathematical and Computational Approaches • Higher order spectra and signal processing for nonlinear systems • Volterra series and nonlinear transfer functions • Discrete-time processing using high order spectrum techniques • Unsolved problems in nonlinear systems |
